I cannot see the Web Research Toolbar in Internet Explorer

Solutions

  1. In Internet Explorer: On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then ensure that  Web Research Toolbar is checked.

Please note that some versions of Internet Explorer have a known problem with managing several toolbars. The Web Research Toolbar may be swapped with a different toolbar. Therefore, go to View > Toolbars and try clicking the other toolbar names on the submenu to let the Web Research Toolbar finally appear.

  2. If you are using IE 6:
    • Open the Tools menu.
    • Click Internet Options.
    • Select the Extended tab.
    • Select the Enable third-party browser extensions check box.

  3. If still no avail:
    • Start the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
    • Locate and select the following registry key:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\macropool\Web Research\CurrentSettings
    • On the right pane, locate and select the value SetupDone
    • On the Edit menu, click Edit Value, and then change the value from 1 to 0
    • Restart WR
    • Restart Internet Explorer

  4. If still no avail:
    • Uninstall Web Research via Control Panel, Add/Remove Software
    • Restart Windows
    • Install the current full release from here.
