Modern Look

The user interface of ContentSaver 2 looks fresher and more up-to-date, mostly due to brighter colors and redesigned interface elements.

The program icon has been styled after Microsoft Office 2003.

More Concise Folder Structure

One of our main goals for ContentSaver 2 has been to make the program easier to understand for new users.

To achieve this, the following changes have been made:

  • The Templates and Contacts folders have been removed.

  • The Search Templates and Ideas folders are no longer visible by default.

  • The Search Results and Document Inbox folders are only shown if they contain documents.

  • Categories has become a root folder and is now easier to find.

  • You can hide all unneeded default folders if desired (View menu).

  • You can choose one of 22 icons for each folder.

Thumbnail View for Saved Documents

The new Thumbnail view offers a better overview of what's located inside a folder.

Browse through miniature images of saved Web pages. Quickly identify documents using visual remembering and rediscover forgotten documents.

  • 12 sizes for thumbnails
  • Shows even thumbnails for PDF documents (Windows XP and Adobe Reader 7 required)

New: "Save As..." Instead of "File and Save"

The previous command File and Save has been replaced with the more common name Save As. The dialog box to specify folder, title, comment, etc. before saving has been completely redesigned.
The new dialog box can now also be used under other Internet Explorer based browsers, such as Maxthon or Slimbrowser.
