WebResearch Extension for Firefox

Here, you can download and install a free WebResearch extension for Mozilla Firefox.

System requirements:

• Mozilla Firefox 2.0/3.0/3.5/3.6
• WebResearch 2.x/3.x, Personal or Professional Edition
• Tip: For better results, additionally install the free Scrapbook+ Firefox Extension, which the WebResearch Firefox extension will then utilize for saving pages.

How to install:

1. If you have any previous WebResearch Firefox extension installed, uninstall it first in Firefox: On the Tools menu, click Add-ons to select it for uninstall.
    
2. If not yet present, install: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package
    
3. Right-click the following link in Firefox
   (not in Internet Explorer!):
    

   webresearch3.xpi Version 1.06 from Jan 20, 2010 (for WebResearch 3.x and Firefox 2.x and 3.x)

   webresearch.xpi Version 0.98 from July 3, 2007 (for Web Research 2.x und Firefox 2.x - but not Firefox 3.0!) Note for Firefox 3 users: Web Research 2.x doesn't support Firefox 3 due to fundamental internal changes required by Firefox 3. If you want to use WebResearch with Firefox 3, you must upgrade to WebResearch 3.

   
   Cick Save Link As and save the file with the .xpi extension to a location on your hard disk. Take care not to save as .zip!
    

4. Open the downloaded file by clicking Open File on the File menu in Firefox.
   
   
    
5. Click Install Now and restart Firefox.
